Cheshire Building Society has purchased 250 of TallyGenicom's T5023 (5040) passbook printers, to be rolled out across 51 branches. The printers will fulfill counter-top applications ranging from printing cheques and receipts to account summaries and account passbooks.

With headquarters in the North West of England, Cheshire Building Society is a national player and a multi-billion pound organisation. It's success has been driven by providing a world-class, yet personal service to its members. In order to achieve this, it has a multi-channel approach to customer contact and always seeks to ensure that high quality standards are maintained across all touch points. To sustain this service at its individual branches, it decided to replace its existing passbook printers as they weren't performing to acceptable standards.

Chris Faulkner, Technical Support Manager of Cheshire Building Society explains, "We had been using our current printers within our branch outlets for over five years and they were coming towards the end of their life. In line with a major project to replace our core computer systems we wanted to update our printers so that they could comply with both our current and future printing requirements. We wanted robust, reliable and user-friendly printers to ensure quality standards of print across our counter operation."

A number of suppliers were considered and TallyGenicom was chosen due to an impressive product and its commitment to providing ongoing support. The 250 printers are currently being rolled out by reseller ICM, who introduced Cheshire Building Society to TallyGenicom's product and worked alongside TallyGenicom to provide expert consultancy and support.

Faulkner adds, "We were very impressed by the service and support provided by TallyGenicom. Not only have they considered our printing needs and delivered, but we also anticipate them providing cost effective maintenance. We will happily consider corporate involvement with them in the future."
